For 50 years, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has provided a strategic overview of the trends shaping the cosmetic sector and the world of beauty. According to the specific areas of the exhibition, it will take place from 15th to 19th March.

For 50 years, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has provided a strategic overview of the trends shaping the cosmetic sector and the world of beauty. The international prestige which the event has accrued over the years -consolidated year after year with the success of its spin-offs Cosmoprof Asia in Hong Kong and Cosmoprof North America in Las Vegas - translates into constant growth in the influx of visitors and exhibitors to the event, in the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and of ICE Agenzia - Italian Trade Agency, and in the collaboration with Cosmetica Italia - Personal Care Association.


For 2018 Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna aims at facilitating networking and business opportunities for companies, retailers and professionals visiting the show, creating a tailor made fair to meet the specific needs of each sector, both under the perspective of exhibitors and attendees. Opening days will be different according to the specific area of the exhibition: from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 March doors will open for all specialists in retail, retail Perfumery and Cosmetics, Green and Natural, and for the international pavilions, in conjunction with Cosmopack; the halls dedicated to beauty professionals - Hair, Nail, Beauty Salon & Spa - with the country pavilions of China and Taiwan will open from Friday 16 to Monday 19 March.

In recent years, the show has been consolidating itself as a unique event in its class, becoming the world’s largest international fair dedicated to the cosmetic supply chain and all the industries that make it up: raw materials, machines and automation, packaging, contract manufacturing and full-service solutions.

The synergy with specific exhibition areas of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna - from Cosmoprime and premium, mass-tige and prestige perfumery, to the companies exhibiting in the halls dedicated to Perfume and Cosmetics, Green and Natural and Country Pavilions - increases the opportunities available to professionals of the cosmetic industry to develop new projects.

Special initiatives at the 2018 edition include The Cosmopack Factory, a format created 6 years ago in Bologna, this year featuring “Powderful”, a project integrating the production of a cosmetic case containing a illuminating powder. The complex initiative is the result of a completely original product and packaging design concept and will involve high-tech back injection operations to offer new consumer experiences and visions, thanks in part to the integration of a digital device.
The international firm Centedegrés will lend its prestige to the project by handling product design, but the success of Powderful hinges on the cooperation of select exhibitors present at Cosmopack, the event without which all this could not have happened.

Topics of interest to the cosmetic industry, such as market analysis, trends, communication strategies, digital innovation and new developments for the beauty universe, will be the issues of CosmoTalks and CosmoForum, scheduled to take place during the event.

In a last bit of news for this edition, “The Cosmopack Wall” award will become the Cosmopack Awards, which is aimed at further enhancing the most innovative projects and products for the cosmetic supply chain, rewarding excellence in formulation and packaging.
